Synergies between the project and the environmental, agrarian, energy and water management sectors and policies
The applicability on this project will not only translate into environmental benefits but potentially also into water management efficiency for the means of water extraction for irrigation, which directly will have a knock-on effect on the reduction of agrarian water demand and energy supply (i.e., energy used to extract water from wells). This action have experienced certain delays as a knock-on effect from the rest of actions in this project owed to COVID19 global pandemic restrictions.
Meetings with the different sectors that may be impacted by the methodologies developed in Life Nieblas, contacts are expected to begin during the second quarter of 2023. It is expected that meetings and talks will be held with the relevant stakeholders and interested groups after sping 2023.
As per policies synergy, for instance, in February2023 during the International Day of Climate Change 'ECOSILAS', the results of the project were presented to representatives of the public administration, technical teams from other projects linked to the natural environement and sustainable development. All details relating to this International Forum can be read on action E.3.
Furthermore, these results will be shared internationally in Portugal, Spain and Belgium in a number of conferences that will be planned and executed in due time.
