Interview of Life Nieblas by the channel DW

The German TV channel DW published an interview with Life Nieblas.

It highlights how drought and forest wildfires are problematic for regions such as Gran Canaria. In remote areas where no irrigation is readily available , the loss of biodiversity is accelerating.

Life Nieblas is therefore testing an effective and sustainable solution in an area affected by wildfires between 2014 and 2019. The objective is to capture fog water aimed to restore natural habitat. Once the forest has matured, it will maintain humidity and protect the soil from excessive heat. Moreover, vegetation cover blocks sunlight, shades and transpires through its leaves, which creates humidity and provides natural air conditioning.
