La Provincia presents LIFE projects

La Provincia has published an article about the recent visit by CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) to Life Nieblas in Gran Canaria. The agents visited the project to learn about fog water collection development and environmental restoration methods in high-risk desertification areas. They were informed about the project's progress, which aims to plant 24,000 trees and restore 45 hectares of degraded land, and they also learned more about the innovative collectors installed at El Pinillo in 2022. The monitors were impressed with their efficiency and contribution to environmental protection.

In addition to Life Nieblas, the monitors also supervised the Post-Life program development for closed projects such as Rabiche and Guguy. Overall, the CINEA visit allowed the agents to see the progress made in Life Nieblas and the results from Post-Life projects on environmental restoration in Gran Canaria, offering positive prospects for the future of the island's environment.
